Common use
Malegra Pro functions as an ED medication, which helps males suffering from sexual dysfunction by enabling proper sexual performance. This medication includes sildenafil citrate, an active ingredient also present in Viagra and other ED treatments. The active pharmaceutical ingredient in sildenafil belongs to the PDE5 inhibitor group, which helps improve blood flow problems in the male genital area.
Dosage and direction
The recommended time to take Malegra Pro 100 mg is between 30 to 60 minutes before sexual activity is expected. The medication consumption needs to include a full glass of water for proper absorption into the body. You should take Malegra Pro with food, but the results can be slightly delayed when you eat greasy meals. The results will become compromised by excessive alcohol consumption.
Precautions
Cautiousness should be exercised in patients with myocardial infarction, stroke, or life-threatening arrhythmia within the last 6 months, patients with resting hypotension or hypertension, patients with cardiac failure or coronary artery disease and patients with retinitis pigments, anatomical deformation of the penis and in individuals who have conditions which may predispose them to priapism.
Contraindications
Malegra Pro contraindications: Concurrent use of nitrate medications; Severe cardiovascular disease; Recent stroke or myocardial infarction; Severe hepatic impairment; Hypotension; Known hypersensitivity to sildenafil.
Possible side effect
As with all medications, Malegra Pro side effects may occur and should be promptly reported to a healthcare provider if severe or persistent.
Common Side Effects: Headache; Facial flushing; Dyspepsia/indigestion; Nasal congestion; Temporary visual changes; Dizziness.
Serious Side Effects: Priapism (prolonged erection >4 hours); Sudden decrease or loss of vision; Sharp decrease in hearing abilities or full hearing loss; Cardiovascular problems at-risk patients; Hypotension.
Drug interaction
Malegra Pro must never be used by men who are taking medicines that contain nitrates of any kind (this includes nitroglycerin). Blood levels of Malegra Pro are increased by erythromycin, cimetidin, saquinavir, ritonavir, ketoconazol, itraconizol. Before using this medication, tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription/herbal products you may use, especially of: alpha-blocker medication (doxazosin, prazosin, terazosin), other medications for impotence, bosentan, high blood pressure medicines, drugs affecting liver enzymes that remove sildenafil from your body (such as azole antifungals including ketoconazole/itraconazole, macrolide antibiotics including erythromycin, cimetidine, delavirdine, rifamycins including rifabutin/rifampin, St. John's wort, anti-seizure medications comprising carbamazepine), HIV protease inhibitor (ritonavir, saquinavir).
Missed dose
This medication is taken when needed. Do not take in larger quantities than recommended.
Overdose
Seek emergency medical attention if you believe that have used too much of this medicine. Overdose symptoms may include nausea, fainting, lightheadedness, irregular heartbeat, chest pain.
Storage
Store at room temperature, below 25 C (77 F) and out of reach and children and pets.
